Theory Course

      This course is designed for musicians wishing to pursue music in post-secondary education or kids who are beginning to play or sing from the RCM Repertoire in their lessons.  In this class we will cover the coursework from prep up to Level 5.

        The Elementary levels of the Theory Syllabus, 2016 Edition provide a well-sequenced approach to learning theory. Incorporating theory into practical lessons at the elementary levels will help to ensure student success on the first required written examination (Level 5): • Pitch and Notation • Scales and Keys • Rhythm • Intervals • Chords • Melody Writing • Music History/Appreciation: Guided Listening • Analysis

Level 5:  6/8 time Root position and inversions of tonic, subdominant, and dominant triads Dominant 7th chords in root position Chord symbols: functional and root/quality W

September& October -  Level Prep and 1 - $90.00

November – December – Level 2 & 3 $90

January – February – Level 4 - $90

March & April  - Level 5  - $105

EXAM MAY 8th or 9th

If you want to skip a level you must write an equivalency exam and score 80% or above.

$15.00 per class   ****Plus the cost of books and examination fee with the Royal Conservatory of Music

Join us for a semester of singing, dancing and fun! Glee Club  will bring together singing, and dancing to perform famous hits from the musical Grease and the movie Frozen 2 in a final performance at our school recital!

Music Production for Kids, Teens and Adults!

Group (kids and teens ages 10 and up) classes and individual (adults) lessons offered. Students will have the opportunity to learn about different aspects of production through various projects by learning how to; use a launch pad, work with Ableton (a production software), create samples, compose/produce short songs, record instruments, arrangement and editing. Students will have the opportunity to present their work at our end of semester recitals. Courses are 8 weeks long - register now!
